01 — THE ORIGIN
A physiotherapist’s idea became an engineering question.
How could a person explore complex movement while the external mechanical conditions remain deliberately adjustable?
That question led to the PlyoDyne principle: a straight shaft that can tilt and rotate, a keyed training handle that travels along the shaft, and vertically adjustable ring and support-handle positions that can be adapted to the individual task.
Successive versions were tested over an extended period in the originator’s own physiotherapy practice. Practical experience informed repeated redesign and refinement, while concepts that did not perform as intended were discontinued.
Successful solutions were combined through mechanical engineering, industrial design and digital production engineering. Production-ready STEP files support automated five-axis CNC machining to repeatable industrial tolerances. Industrial-grade materials and components are dimensioned using engineering load cases for the intended use. Durability depends on correct installation, use, inspection and maintenance as described in the product documentation.
The result is not a machine that dictates one correct path. It is a platform that lets the user create movement inside defined conditions.
