Direction and shaft tilt
The flexible joint permits multidirectional shaft movement created by the user.
FOR PROFESSIONALS
PlyoDyne gives physiotherapists, rehabilitation teams, trainers and researchers a consistent system in which mechanical settings and task instructions can be changed deliberately.
01 — WHAT CAN BE VARIED?
Seven variables arise from the equipment configuration. Movement speed is created by the user in response to the professional’s instruction.
The flexible joint permits multidirectional shaft movement created by the user.
The height-adjustable Range Control Ring changes the available shaft-tilt envelope.
The support-handle assembly moves vertically to suit the user’s body dimensions, starting position and intended exercise.
The shaft can move freely, be range-limited or rest against the ring.
The keyed handle travels freely along the straight shaft while remaining rotationally coupled to it.
The shaft and handle rotate together through the bearing above the flexible joint.
The S-handle accepts weights in combinations beginning at 25 g; the M configuration also provides a lightweight handle and a 1.9 kg lightweight exercise shaft.
Speed is not set by the machine. The professional defines the task and the user creates the movement.
02 — THREE EQUIPMENT STATES
The shaft moves freely around the flexible joint.
The Range Control Ring limits how far the shaft can tilt.
The shaft rests against the ring for a more stable reference.
These are equipment states, not a treatment protocol. There is no universal PlyoDyne sequence from supported to free movement.
03 — PROFESSIONAL FRAMEWORK
Set a clear purpose and observable outcome.
Select range, support, speed and mass deliberately.
Separate task success, movement quality and demand.
Treat an individual response as an observation—not general proof.
PlyoDyne® allows added mass to be changed in increments as small as 25 g. This gives professionals a precise way to document and test gradual load changes over successive sessions, while deciding progression from the user’s response rather than assuming an outcome.
